It looks like troops may be coming home. (crosses fingers)
Iraq says may agree timetable for U.S. withdrawal.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki raised the prospect on Monday of setting a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops as part of negotiations over a new security agreement with Washington.

The article goes on to state:

“Today, we are looking at the necessity of terminating the foreign presence on Iraqi lands and restoring full sovereignty,” Maliki told Arab ambassadors in blunt remarks during an official visit to Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.

“One of the two basic topics is either to have a memorandum of understanding for the departure of forces or a memorandum of understanding to set a timetable for the presence of the forces, so that we know (their presence) will end in a specific time.

We know that Bush was wrong, but did not lie. There were dangerous materials in Iraq. Troops did their mission.

Al-Qaeda is driven from Mosul bastion after bloody last stand Writes the Times of London. Another article titled:Iraqis lead final purge of Al-Qaeda contains this gem:

Major-General Mark Hertling, American commander in the north, said: “I think we’re at the irreversible point.”

Wait! I thought the war was lost. Cut and run says Michale Moore. Yet we are winning. has the latest Iraq fatality as a non-combat death.

In Columbia, FARC is ready to die. ‘A Devastating Blow’ writes Newsweek after 15 hostages were freed. What’s more amazing is this headline from Freed American: FARC ‘terrorists,’ not revolutionaries. It has an interview from Marc Gonsalves, held captive by FARC. He was a defense contractor captured by FARC. He states (and CNN does not try to counterbalance) that FARC fighters were young and poor tricked into joining a “just cause”. But FARC is just a bunch of drung-trafficking thugs.

What we are seeing is the defeat of terrorists on the battlefield and in the media. Before, the jurnos would gush over foreign “freedom fighters”, be they marxist, leftist, maoist or some other -ist. Truth is they are all just thugs. Iraq is dying down in the media because we are winning. With the death of they can’t gush any more, Plan Columbia is working. Iraq is closing the book on Saddam’s dark legacy.
