Years ago, I was watching a PBS special on Nazis and Nazi hunters. That night TNT had a movie about Adolf Eichmann. It was Nazis and Pizza night, what can I say? Anywho, my dad said “Why don’t these people give it a rest? Eichmann was what in his 60’s when they executed him? Surely all the Nazis must be dead by now?”
I tried to tell dad (in my 21 year old logic) that evil never takes a rest, we must be vigilant. If future Nazis or other scum think that they can just outlast justice, what will stop them? Evil men do not stop, no matter how much we want them to. The fact that we still go after them deters who knows how many scumbags from trying the unthinkable.
But what do I know? :
I see an attempt, over the last seven days, to tie three points together in the thinking of older voters, especially, so that they can have a mystery about Barack Obama they hadn’t had last week. One, this question of Bill Ayers, the Weathermen, back 10 years or so in Chicago politics or Chicago organizing politics.
‘Hardball’ Dismisses Ayers as ‘Politics of Distraction’ (newsbusters.com)
Let’s see what I can find in the 10 minutes on the laptop:

Fire in the Night, The Weathermen tried to kill my family. By John M. Murtagh
During the April 16 debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, moderator George Stephanopoulos brought up “a gentleman named William Ayers,” who “was part of the Weather Underground in the 1970s. They bombed the Pentagon, the Capitol, and other buildings. He’s never apologized for that.” Stephanopoulos then asked Obama to explain his relationship with Ayers. Obama’s answer: “The notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was eight years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn’t make much sense, George.” Obama was indeed only eight in early 1970. I was only nine then, the year Ayers’s Weathermen tried to murder me.
On March 6, 1970, during preparations for the bombing of an officers’ dance at the Fort Dix U.S. Army base and for Butler Library at Columbia University, there was an explosion in a Greenwich Village safe house when the nail bomb being constructed prematurely detonated due to a wiring malfunction. WUO members Diana Oughton, Ted Gold, and Terry Robbins died in the explosion. Cathy Wilkerson and Kathy Boudin escaped unharmed, Boudin running naked from the apartment. It was an accident of history that the site of the Village explosion was the former residence of Merrill Lynch brokerage firm founder Charles Merrill and his son, the poet James Merrill. The younger Merrill subsequently recorded the event in his poem 18 West 11th Street, the title being the address of the house. An FBI report later stated that the group had possessed sufficient amounts of explosive to “level … both sides of the street”.
The bomb preparations have been pointed out by critics of the claim that the Weatherman group did not try to take lives with its bombings. Harvey Klehr, the Andrew W. Mellon professor of politics and history at Emory University in Atlanta, said in 2003, “The only reason they were not guilty of mass murder is mere incompetence. I don’t know what sort of defense that is.” –From Wikipedia
- The ties between Barack Obama and terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn go back over 21 years. Source Confederate Yankee.
- Also From Confederate Yankee:
“As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama must demonstrate executive experience, but he remains strangely silent about his eight years (1994-2002) as a director of the Joyce Foundation, a billion dollar tax-exempt organization. He has one obvious reason: during his time as director, Joyce Foundation spent millions creating and supporting anti-gun organizations.”by David T. Hardy
- What Did Barack Obama Know, and When Did He Know It?– Source Powerline:
it is inconceivable that Barack Obama knew Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn well enough to kick off his first political campaign in their living room, but didn’t know that Ayers and Dohrn were Communists who led the Weatherman faction of SDS, urged young people to “kill your parents,” carried out approximately 30 bombings, including New York City’s police headquarters, the Capitol and the Pentagon, celebrated the Charles Manson murders, spent years living underground to avoid criminal prosecution, and continued to express their lifelong hatred for the United States in books, magazine articles, and public speeches. This is rather like a person claiming that he had worked closely with Arnold Schwarzenegger for years, but had no idea that he was once a bodybuilder and movie actor
Five, and that’s just a few clicks. If we do nothing, these people, the Eichmann’s of the world will keep trying to kill. If they can’t kill they’ll try and twist our laws, or culture and our lives untill we are living in their world. They never stopped. Not for the cold war, nor the fall of the Berlin Wall or 9/11. They tried to say we were responsible , so they can hide their fellow travellers . They’ll use our own laws against us untill laws have no meaning. Try and fight back and your a liar, a warmonger or part of the “conspiracy“. Meanwhile they plot to take away our country, our culture and our freedoms.
We must stop them.
No matter how long it takes.
p.s. my late father hated Nazis, but too many Nazi movies and too much pizza might have been a bad combo LOL!!!
