Why didn’t anyone notice this?

The Cold War’s over, John. But with no clear enemy to stockpile against, the arms market’s flat. But bring down a fully loaded 727 into the middle of New York City and you’ll find a dozen tinpot dictators all over the world just clamoring to take responsibility, and begging to be smart-bombed.
— The Lone Gunman, Pilot Episode (Air Date: March 4, 2001)

Lefty fantasy of course. Chris Carter was not famous for rational thought, but man he could entertain (sorta).
Many a tin-foil hat, smelly hippie or ‘truther’ ate this slop up.

This couldn’t happen in real life now? Could it?

Between 2006 and 2009, the Joyce Foundation gave the IACP $1.2M to organize the Great Lakes Summit on Gun Violence, and to implement their conclusions, which included anti-rights goals like renewing the Clinton gun ban (reduced capacity magazines and banning many long guns) and forcing civilians to store firearms in “safe” facilities. That’s what Traver represents.

Joyce represents a dozen well-heeled directors with a direct connection to Obama, a former Joyce director.

Then there’s the rhetoric that 90% of Mexican cartel firearms came from American retailers (recently changed to 70%). Stratfor details how firearms selection was manipulated by Mexican authorities to ensure that the guns most likely of American origin were submitted for tracing.

Nor does the alleged 70% explain how the guns got to Mexico, since our government provided many to Mexican military and police, in addition to those provided by Gunwalker.

But the administration continues to promote the 90% myth, so what better way to “prove” it than by sending guns south?
“‘Gunwalker’ Scandal and the Case for Impeaching Holder” Pajamas Media

“There is no concievable law enforcement scenario where putting 2,500 guns into the hands of criminals would be justifiable. Ever. The ATF should take it’s lumps, and anyone who suggests that gun rights advocates are to be blamed here should have their head examined.”

Only this time it’s not on a Hollywood backlot. This is real life and sadly real people are dying.

Liberals out of fashion

Seems with their man in the White House, liberal trolls gadflies, grabasstic pieces of amphiban shit activists are finding it so hard to get noticed.

“Will the same networks that found it irresistible to cover the Donald Trump birther antics make any time for black radicals claiming Obama isn’t really black? On page A-6 of The Washington Post on Thursday, Post reporter Krissah Williams found Princeton professor Cornel West stirred up debate among black bloggers and academics for calling the president a “black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats.” The Post skipped over the next line: “And now he has become head of the American killing machine and is proud of it.” ”

“Ted Rall’s cartoons and opinion pieces were all the rage when he was attacking George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and American soldiers.

But now that there’s a man in the White House the press absolutely adore, the once syndicated polemicist claims he’s having a hard time getting anyone to publish his work”

See, there are real facts and there are good facts. The real fact is that those in power have as much depth as a pothole. The economy, the jobless recovery, inflation etc.

But if you own the press, ya gotta have your story straight.

They made this presidency, the press did. And they’ll spend lots of airtime and ink to protect it. Even as it sinks.

Good. This ain’t the summer of love. No Cronkite to lie to middle America. This is the age of 500+ channels, blogs and YouTube. The counter-revolution will not be televised, it will be blogged and YouTubed. Now that’s change.

Another random act of violence:

Arizona congresswoman among 18 shot at Tucson grocery
(CNN) — Six people were killed and 12 others wounded — including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords — in a shooting outside a Tucson, Arizona, grocery store where the congresswoman was holding a constituent meeting, police said.

The suspect in the shooting was in custody, according to U.S. Capitol Police, who did not identify the alleged gunman.

Hotair, Michelle Malkin,
and Ace are following the story.

True to form, vile lefties are not letting a crisis go to waist.

Everyone’s thoughts and prayers are with Rep. Giffords and her family.

Update: Seems Reality[tm] is a foreign country to the shooter. H/T: ACE
