About that Todd Akin fella…

Posted in politcs, rankers with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on 21, August 2012 by chockblock

So it seems that some GOP backbencher opened his mouth and the stupid thus flowed fourth:

““Legitimate rape” became a Twitter trending topic in the U.S. this afternoon after liberal blog Talking Points Memo posted a video of Rep. Todd Akin claiming that victims of “legitimate rape” are unlikely to become pregnant.” Twitchy

A washed up actor wanted Sarah Palin “gang raped.” Wayne Brady had to apologize for mocking Sarah Palin’s child. And a democrat was caught trying to have sex with a 17 year old boy.

And the media was silent.

The media is in the tank for the left. Anything to put democrats in office and keep them there.
$500 million was lost to Solyndra’s bankruptcy and all the taxpayers got was some crappy artwork.

I’ve held that the left will go insane, I think they already have. Of course the GOP establishment likes to front candidates who are brainless. It’s to be expected from stuffy old money “conservatives” more interested in mooching off the taxpayer. That’s why the 2008 McCain campaign sucked donkey balls, they ran a 1960’s era Republican campaign and forgot about the Tea Party. Akin is an oxygen sucker, someone the party should kick to the curb.

The left? A bunch of vile commie punks who will wreck the economy much like they did Hollywood.

Liberalism’s fall: the left will go insane

If the Democrats lose the Whitehouse we’ll see the left explode in rage and craziness not seen since the 2000 election.

When elections don’t go the left’s way, they file lawsuits. When a president or candidate they don’t like becomes popular, they ridicule them in the media. When bloggers blog, journalists ask questions or people want answers: ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK.

The left has a narrative. One where JFk and 9/11 were plots of a vast right-wing conspiracy, and the left is some shining beacon of hope. The truth is that JFK was the victim of a left-wing nut, Islamists planned the 9/11 attacks, and the left has been shilling the same message for decades.

But like a child who refused to give up Santa Claus, the left loves it’s narrative. They need that narrative. If the truth comes out, they have to admit that they failed. That we can’t afford the welfare state they sold us. Admit that we need to prepare for a hostile world not cower or appease those who want to kill us.

There will be fiction, protests, another “Occupy” movement, more SWATings, more deranged acts disguised as “dissent”. They will not accept change lightly. We must be ready. The crazy is coming, brace yourselves.

Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry
1970 – 2010

“Attorney General Eric Holder’s refusal to fully disclose the documents associated with Operation Fast and Furious and President Obama’s assertion of executive privilege serves to compound this tragedy. It denies the Terry family and the American people the truth. Our son, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, was killed by members of a Mexican drug cartel armed with weapons from this failed Justice Department gun trafficking investigation. For more than 18 months we have been asking our federal government for justice and accountability. The documents sought by the House Oversight Committee and associated with Operation Fast and Furious should be produced and turned over to the committee. Our son lost his life protecting this nation, and it is very disappointing that we are now faced with an administration that seems more concerned with protecting themselves rather than revealing the truth behind Operation Fast and Furious.”

More of that Smart Diplomacy we were promised[tm]

“We have confronted the Russians about stopping their continued arms shipments to Syria,” Mrs. Clinton said at an appearance with President Shimon Peres of Israel. “They have, from time to time, said that we shouldn’t worry; everything they’re shipping is unrelated to their actions internally. That’s patently untrue.”…

The fierce government assaults from the air are partly a response to improved tactics and weaponry among the opposition forces, which have recently received more powerful antitank missiles from Turkey, with the financial support of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, according to members of the Syrian National Council, the main opposition group in exile, and other activists.

The United States, these activists said, was consulted about these weapons transfers. Officials in Washington said the United States did not take part in arms shipments to the rebels, though they recognized that Syria’s neighbors would do so, and that it was important to ensure that weapons did not end up in the hands of Al Qaeda or other terrorist groups…

Dafuq did i just read? Isn’t Russia on our side? Oh wait…we’ve seen this before:

According to the Moscow Centre for Strategy and Technology Analysis, the Iskander-M system was combat-tested in the 2008 South Ossetia war with Georgia and it proved highly effective in destroying military targets and infrastructure.[10] Quoting unconfirmed reports,[who?] Moscow Defense Brief says that it was an Iskander missile that inflicted a high precision strike on the Georgian Separate Tank Battalion base in Gori, destroying 28 tanks. Russian officials have admitted to using the Iskander missile against Georgia and official reports[who?] testify to the high effectiveness of the Iskander missiles, as one of the most devastating and accurate weapons in the Russian arsenal.[11] Georgian authorities later claimed that none of the targeted areas had any military installations or troops formations at the time of attacks; and the Iskander missiles were fired at civilian areas, including Baku-Supsa Oil Pipeline.[12]

Treaties are ink on a page. Russia will just do what it wants, as will China. They don’t care. North Korea is propped up by China because it ties up US forces in Asia. Russia wants to see the US hurt. Our allies bleeding and US forces humiliated. Korea, Vietnam, Israel, South America, Africa. Rifles, machine guns, tanks, ships, Migs and lots of Ak-47’s. There is a reason Hollywood loves to put them in the hands of their characters.

The left keeps talking about the UN and diplomacy. How conflict resolution and blah blah blah….

When it comes down to it, bad men will do bad things. The left that hates the military, can’t stand George W. Bush and the invasion of Iraq will scream for troops on the ground. The UN? Useless.

The world is a dangerous place. We need real leadership in the State Department. Not liberals thinking that good intentions and “reset buttons” are the answers to everything.

Liberalism’s Fall: A dull, empty thud

I always though that the occupy movement would be the high water mark of American liberalism. Seems that the Wisconsin recall of Gov. Walker and the lefty temper tantrum is not going according to plan. A Republican gov wants to balance his state’s budget. Cuts off the gravy train from the public sector (gov’ment employee) unions that had been getting fat at tax payer expense. Left goes nuts…and (hopefully) loses. For the left it was almost occupy 0.1 (they were angry at Walker before anti-Semitic adbusters mag came up with “Occupy Wall Street”).

Maybe it’s just me, but I find it hard to believe liberals believe in liberalism anymore.

With the obvious global meltdown of Keynesian economics [1], how could anyone remotely intelligent support the continued deficit spending that is driving the Western World into bankruptcy?
Is Liberalism Dead?
By Roger L Simon On May 25, 2012,

The left likes to use humor, satire, phony vets, lies and propaganda to hide the Marxism under the hood of their world view. Witness the remake of Robocop. It was a socialist movie disguised as an action flick. The remake has a new character who “finds himself torn between the ideals of the machine trying to rediscover its humanity and the callous needs of a corporation.”. *sigh*

It’s no secret that leftist ideas on society and the economy don’t work. Look at Detroit. Europe has yet to pay the bill for decades of Keynesian policies. But the Europeans what their bread and paid vacations. Talk of the “99%” is a dog whistle for proletariat. Leaders on the left campaign on taxing the rich as they rake in donations for they very “1%” they claim to hate.

Senator Charles F. Meachum: There are no sides. There’s no Sunnis and Shiites. There’s no Democrats and Republicans. There’s only HAVES and HAVE-NOTS

Shooter (2007)

The above quote from another shitty lefty film shows the left in a nutshell. It’s about getting their hands on money and power. It’s about making things “fair” (their version), justice (for their causes) and fuck you if you stand in their way.

Lee Bollinger, the president of Columbia University, famously declared: “Diversity is not merely a desirable addition to a well-run education. It is as essential as the study of the Middle Ages, of international politics and of Shakespeare.”
Top five cliches that liberals use to avoid real arguments , By Jonah Goldberg. Washington

“Now, Elizabeth Warren’s current claim is that she had no idea Harvard was listing her as a Native American, and no idea where they might have gotten that idea from.”
Ace: “Boston Globe Takes a Tomahawk To Elizabeth Warren’s Fauxcahontas Claims”

Just like Ward Churchill, Warren claimed to be Native American because it fit her need and the lefty narrative. It wasn’t true for a fake Indian
professor and neither is it true for Warren.

Back when there were only three networks ( and PBS), newspapers and magazines and the internet was confined to colleges and DoD labs, the left got away with anything. They could come up with all kinds of bullshit. Now we live with +500 plus channels, internet and we can fact check their asses.

Liberals can protect themselves better against assaults from outside their cocoon. They can stay out of megachurches and make sure their remote controls never click on Fox News. They can stay off the AM radio dial so they will never hear Rush Limbaugh.
Barone: Life in a cocoon dulls political responses: Michael Barone,

In their films, their media, blogs and occupy protests, it’s “haves” vs. “havenots”. Labels change, but they keep seeing themselves as the “havenots”. They can rage aganist Nixon, Regan Bush (Sr. and Jr.) and stay smug. Those right wing meanies are just fanatics, the “reality based community” speaks “truth to power”.

And thus liberalism is losing badly. Reality is not a shitty Hollywood film. Socialism is a hard sell to most Americans. Marx and Keynes have been overtaken by history. But the left fights on. Wrapping themselves in thought terminating cliches and emotional attacks, they hope to survive. But the truth is winning.

If Gov. Walker survives the Wisconsin Recall, if the Occupy movement continues to fizzle, I predict that the Marxist-Socialist crap we call “liberalism” will fade with time. They’ll join the ranks of 9-11 truthers, radical peaceniks, commies and hippes in the past.

I can’t wait.

So it seems that someone’s fond of dogmeat…

Don’t bail out Student Loans

Posted in HOOAH!, politcs, Uncategorized, War On Terror with tags , , , , , , , , , , on 21, November 2011 by chockblock

“This is a transparent vote buying scheme. Not only will this act of Roman-style patronage turn into votes for whoever is waiving the magic wand, those grateful little creatures will hail their caesar and support his re-election as motivated campaign workers.”

R.S. McCain on why we don’t need to help the “99%”.

He adds two more reasons at the link. Let me add my 2 cents:

  1. Colleges raised their tuition to cover expenses they jacked up, knowing that college students (with the help of indulgent parents) would take out the money. Do colleges really need student unions with Xboxes and large TVs? Dorms with frills? Layers and layers of management and profs. who don’t teach got a free ride with easy student loan money. Not our fault if this is unsustainable. And not our fault if you
    slept through your “education”.
  2. STEM subjects, business and a few other majors come with job security. Government is (gasp!) cutting back. Law is cutting back due to the glut of lawyers in this country. If you want to study the fluff electives: “Communications”, “English” et al. be prepared to work at Starbucks. Not the taxpayers fault for colleges catering to the slackers and the Marxists who teach them.
  3. Many of the “99%” chose a very expensive school far, far away from home. So sad too bad. Small colleges, local colleges are cheaper and produce just as good an education. If they wanted to work in New York city, D.C. some such, they should have prepared to spend lots of money and fight many, many people from elite school. If you didn’t get the job, them’s the brakes. They should have applied for jobs they stood a chance of actually getting, not the bill of goods the media or lefty professors shill. Competing in a field where many students were “top of their class”, went to an “elite” school and you find that there are a lot of those people pounding the pavement. Thanks to the media and the education system, they believe that 100K a year jobs are a “right” and not something to work towards. The taxpayer shouldn’t have to pay just because these guys made bad career moves.

Some liberal wag held up a sign “Pay your taxes teabaggers!”. I propose we tell him and his friends in the tents: “Pay back our money, deadbeats!”. That’s what a loan is after all.
