“Phil Jordan, a former CIA operative and one-time leader of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s El Paso Intelligence Center, claims that the Obama administration is running guns [1] to the violent Zetas cartel through the direct commercial sale of military grade weapons:

Jordan, who served as director of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s El Paso Intelligence Center in 1995, said the Zetas have shipped large amounts of weapons purchased in the Dallas area through El Paso.

Robert “Tosh” Plumlee, a former CIA contract pilot, told the Times he supported Jordan’s allegations, adding that the Zetas have reportedly bought property in the Columbus, N.M., border region to stash weapons and other contraband.

“From the intel, it appears that a company was set up in Mexico to purchase weapons through the U.S. Direct Commercial Sales Program, and that the company may have had a direct link to the Zetas.”

The U.S. Direct Commercial Sales program is run from the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls [2]. It regulates and licenses private U.S. companies’ overseas sales of weapons and other defense materials, defense services, and military training. This does not include the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, which authorized sales to foreign governments.”

About those backup gas turbines. They have the ability to quickly move from idling to full power to compensate for the erratic wind turbines. Funny thing about that “idling”. The turbines emit more CO2 when they’re idling than when they’re at full power. They’re designed to run at full power all the time. That’s the most efficient mode of operation for them. Idling is inefficient and emits more CO2. The CO2 emitted while idling wipes out any savings you could get from the wind farms!

Awww, two scammers are butt hurt that they got caught:

Marines face charges of adultery, marrying for financial gain

(CNN) — Three California Marines have been charged with marrying for financial gain, accused of manipulating the military’s off-base housing program so a lesbian couple could live together, according to a woman at the center of the case.

Marine Cpl. Ashley Vice says she and two others have been charged with conspiracy, making false official statements, fraud and adultery for allegedly marrying to collect thousands in financial assistance offered by the military to heterosexual married couples.

CNN goes on to play the lesbian card. Every other paragraph is LESBIAN this and LESBIAN that oh and did we mention that they are a couple? A LESBIAN couple.

Sorry, but no. They broke the law. Fraud and lying on official documents is a criminal offense and adultery is part of the UCMJ for a reason. How could any lower enlisted trust a Corporal who’s a liar? She’s an NCO she should know better.

Yes, this is a common scam and yes straight “couples” do this. And it’s still illegal. I for one hope they get some jail time and a rank bust. They robbed the married couples on their base of funds as sure as taking money out of their wallets. Their are programs and BAH (the stipend for off base housing) and they are NOT entitled to them. BAH is for dependents so that service members don’t have to worry about rent. SO they can start a family. Not so a couple dating (notice they never got beyond “girlfriends” when talking about each other) can live together. I’m divorced and live in the barracks now. I hate it but every soldier, sailor, marine and airman lives under the same rules. Why should these people get a pass?

“The bottom line is that every Marine knows if they violate the law, they will be held accountable for their actions,” 1st Lt. Maureen Dooley, a Marine spokeswoman at Camp Pendleton, told CNN.

Crying to the press can’t save you when you break the law.
